WHO WE ARE

The Brickyard Story

The combination of our top tier team and atmosphere is what makes our bike shop in Phenix City different.

When we opened Brickyard Bike Co., our goal was simple: to create the kind of bike shop experience we’d want as customers—one built on expertise, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Every day, we work to improve and make our shop a place where riders of all levels feel at home.

In the spring of 2019, we had the chance to bring TREK bikes back into our community by opening a new bike shop in Phenix City, AL at the corner of Brickyard Road and Dillingham Street. Our friend David Fivecoat suggested the name Brickyard Bike Co., and it stuck.

However, the process wasn’t as easy as picking a name—what was supposed to be a three-week construction project turned into three months of surprises and delays. But when we finally moved in two weeks before our July 1, 2019, opening, the space felt like home.

We uncovered the original brick and mortar, sealed the concrete floors, and built a massive service counter to anchor the shop. We filled the space with natural light, the rich aroma of espresso, and a carefully curated selection of TREK bikes in Phenix City, AL, along with the best gear and accessories.

More importantly, we assembled a top-tier team—experienced, certified, and passionate about cycling.

Since then, we’ve expanded to serve even more riders, including those searching for a Dothan, Alabama bike shop or a trusted spot for trek bikes in Dothan, AL. Whether you visit our bike shop in Phenix City, AL or stop by Brickyard Bike Co. in Dothan, AL you’ll find expert service, high-quality bikes, and a community that shares your love for the ride.

At Brickyard Bike Co., we’re more than just a shop—we’re a hub for cyclists, adventurers, and anyone who loves life on two wheels.

Todd is our general manager and certified fitter. Before riding and working in the cycling industry, he was jumping out of planes. He got into cycling at Auburn University when a group of friends decided to start mountain biking, then got into road biking and racing with the Auburn Flyers Club Cycling team. Todd rides all disciplines and firmly believes in cycling’s positive impact on himself and our community; he partnered with Pete in building Brickyard Bike Co. to provide the expertise and service they can provide as a team.

Before working in the bike industry, Chris was studying classical music for undergraduate and graduate degrees. He initially wanted to get into triathlons, but had way more fun riding my bike than running. Asked why he chose to be a part of the Brickyard team, he says, "Because from the first moment I stepped into the shop I felt welcomed and was introduced to a level of expertise in the cycling industry that I had not experienced before." If his house burned down, what bike would he take? "I would take my Emonda, it is my pride and joy. First carbon, first hydraulic disk, first 11-speed."

Before working in the cycling industry, Dennis served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. He got into cycling through BMX Freestyle ride in mid 80s then road riding due to Injury during last 3 years of service. He says he chose to be a part of the Brickyard team because "having owners you trust and are all about cycling and helping grow the cycling community makes it easy to want to be part of this amazing team. We have great work ethics and a passion for all things cycling. It's like having another family that work well and get along with everyone that comes through the shop door."

Henry got into cycling in high school, knowing nothing about the community at first. His passion began with vintage bikes, and he still enjoys restoring them. “My happy place is elbow deep in an overhaul on a bike older than I am,” he says. He discovered cycling through skateboarding when a local shop owner exchanged bike knowledge for his skateboard expertise. Though he doesn’t skate much anymore, he’s fully dedicated to riding. Henry loves mentoring new cyclists and finds joy in their achievements. For him, cycling is more than just a hobby—it’s a lifelong passion.
